Excessive drinking can lead to Youth feeling bad about yourself and embarrassed by your actions as well as potentially losing friends or loved ones as a result of your behaviour which would have a huge impact and decrease of your social health.
Binge drinking in certain circumstances can lead to fallout of a supportive and well functioning family, which is essential for good social health. It can also lead to not being able to efficiently develop friendships, and not being able to communicate positively with others. Excessive alcohol use over long periods of time has been known to affect the communication skills on the person when they are sober.

Binge drinking can lead to increased levels of stress and anxiety amongst Youths, as well as negative thought patterns if they are disappointed in themselves. Their mental health may suffer as a result of feelings of regret and guilt. Mental illness and alcohol usually have a strong link between each other,either alcohol leading to mental illness or the mental illness leads to alcohol.
